This is a revenge movie as compared to the previous love story version Casino Royale. It continues hours after the previous movie ended and Bond makes this adventure personal after beind betrayed by his love ,Vesper. The captured Mr. White reveals that the plan of stealing Bond’s casino winning is far more complex and was planned by an organisation , Quantum, along with Mr. Greene whose actual goal is to take control over Bolivia and hand over a piece of land to Mr. Greene in exchange of his help. The land is main source of water to South America.
The movie releases tomorrow (13th November in canada). Visit again to read full synopsis and review of the movie .
After watching the movie I would say that Bond movies are definitely getting better plot-wise and no more its just an action flick. Quantum of solace has the story , effects, action and style . (Cinematography is kinda crappy in some parts, very few short scenes). Olga Kurylenko’s character is hyped too much in media. Daniel Craig is too good !!

Ghajini – Movie Review

Ghajini is the hindi remake of tamil movie of the same title Ghajini (2005). The screenplay of the movie is adapted from hollywood movie Memento by Christopher Nolan. Apparently the word Ghajini does not have any meaning in Tamil vocabulary either. It is believed that the name is inspired from an ancient invader Muhmad Ghazni.
It is Aamir Khan’s home production and is the most awaited movie of 2008 other than Shahrukh Khan starer Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi from Chopra banner. The movie is rumored to have already raked in 93 crores from distribution rights.
The movie stars Aamir Khan and Asin Thottumkall in lead. This is her first bollywood venture after strings of hits and award winning performances in South-Indian cinema.
The story revolves around a businessman (Aamir Khan)who falls in love with an Ad-model (Asin Thottumkal). The model spreads rumours about her relationship with the young entrepreneur and when he goes to confront her, he falls in love with her. Later in the movie Asin saves some young children from being kidnapped by a goon ,who infuriated by the insult, decides to revenge. Co-incidently Aamir Khan also reaches Asin’s place while the goon goes there for his revenge and in the fight Asin gets killed while Aamir gets a serious head injury resulting into short-term memory loss. He cannot remember the incidents from his life that happened more than 15 minutes earlier. He uses a Polaroid camera and tattoos on his body to remind him and keep a track of incidents and tries to avenge the death of his love.
The screenplay is interesting but the major plus of the movie is Aamir’s home production. A perfectionist that he is, he shaved his head as per the requirement of the story and the last part of shooting requires him in his original coiffure. He has decided to wait for his hair to grow back rather than going for a wig. The movie was earlier scheduled to be released on 2nd October 2008 but the dates were moved to 25th December, the same release dates for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Music release is scheduled for 15th November.

A.R Rahman is once again the choice after splendid Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. As in his earlier productions , Aamir personally pays a lot of attention to the music of his movies with lot of personal inputs.
The hair style that Aamir Khan is sporting after the head injury is a work of over 3 hours by Adhuna Akhtar (Farhan Akhtar’s wife) , with inputs from Farhan Akhtar and Aamir himself and his wife Kiran

Welcome to Sajjanpur – movie review
WELCOME TO SAJJANPUR a.k.a MAHADEV KA SAJJANPUR
Shyam Benegal , the name synonyms with parallel cinema, once again ventures into comical aspects of bollywood. Once again ?? , well Charandas Chor was his last and only effort in this genre untill now.
Wecome to Sajjanpur is again a movie you can so associate with Shyam Benegal. Through this movie he again talks about so many social issues like illiteracy, politics and corruption and superstitious beliefs. Even the central character of the story (Shreyas Talpade) , is shown as symbol of common mass who is aware of the situation around but is mute when comes to confrontation.
The strory begins with Mahadev (Shreyas Talpade) talking about himself , a letter writer among illiterate people of his community, and his village Sajjanpur. He aspires to be a novelist but ends up writing letters for the villagers as he was considered as a lucky charm after writing a letter for a woman, who ends up getting her work done. On this basic theme, the story branches into a lot of political and social themes. Alongside , there are also two love-stories running parallel to the plot. One is between a hospital compounder and a widower while other is Mahadev and his feelings for a childhood friend (Amrita Rao) , who is now married but left alone in the village while her husband is in city to find work. Ila Arun plays a mother who thinks her daughter (Divya Dutta) is a ‘manglik’ and on advice of some priest wants her to get married to a dog!! The ugly face of politics is depicted by fight for political power in a election between a Eunuch and lady who is prime suspect of a murder in the village. It is commendable that how the director strings together all these plots and manufactures an unfragmented plot which is well worth a watch.
A very Dark and Situational humour – 7/10
